I have worked with Kevin many times over the years for my memoir, book proposal, and articles. With each interaction, Kevin and his team provided excellent editorial services. His firm offers a diverse pool of editors to choose from, which enabled me to hone the type of service I was looking for. Each editor was concise and insightful, giving me constructive notes that really allowed me to take my work to the next level. I particularly appreciated the editors’ ability to point out where I could strengthen my story while not feeling like they were trying to change my story—this is a delicate balance that only the best editors know how to do. I felt that they were in for the long haul because Kevin was always there for me when I had follow up questions. A great experience across the board.”

Norman Ollestad is a New York Times and Los Angeles Times bestselling writer from Malibu, California. When he is not lighting up bestselling book lists, he is also an avid surfer, skier, and devout father.

In 2009, Ollestad teamed with Kevin Anderson to produce the book industry-rocking Crazy For the Storm: A Memoir of Survival—published by HarperCollins. Gripping and poignant, Ollestad’s memoir details the relationship between a young son (Ollestad) and his thrill-seeking and demanding father. The narrative follows Norman through a childhood dominated by wild adventures, competitive surfing, and downhill skiing in Southern California during the turbulent 1960s and ‘70s. It is by looking back into his past that Ollestad realizes that his father was using extreme sports to teach him the physical skills and mental strength that would prove life-saving for the event that would change Ollestad’s life irrevocably. In 1979, at age 11, he was the only survivor of a plane crash that took the life of his father, two others, and left him stranded on an 8,000-foot peak engulfed in a blizzard. Ollestad’s story of survival and tender memories of his early childhood quickly became one of the most talked about books of 2009.
